• 1896 - 'View of Royal Mail steamer " Cametense " waiting for tip at Penarth Dock.' - The photograph is dated 2nd November 1896 and states that dock shipments for the day are 16,833 tons! The vessel had been waiting for a tip for 11 hours with seven others listed as also waiting : 'Surbition' 11 hours ; 'Jakai' 8 hours ; 'Hazel Branch' 10 hours ; 'Argus' 10 hours ; 'Sierra Cadena' 24 hours ; 'Glendale' 4 hours ; 'Radyr' 10 hours. The lower image has been colourised.
