• 1897 - 'Vessels waiting for Tips' - The steamship in the foreground is the 'Thordisa' built in 1888 by T. Turnbull & Son. In 1913 her ownership passed to Francesco Degrossi of Genoa, was renamed 'Lilla', and met her fate after being torpedoed by U.35 and lost in the Mediterranean during October 1917. The lower image has been colourised.
