Penarth Dock at zenith of coal trade
Another postcard from my Penarth Dock Collection [001] taken at the zenith of coal exports out of Penarth Dock during 1913 and being almost identical to the previous postcard view.

GWR - 1923 - Track Layout - Penarth Dock

In the bottom right hand corner of the photograph are the workshops of Messrs. A. Hill & Co. - Engineers and General Ship Repairers. The 1923 GWR track diagram for Penarth Dock and Tidal Harbour shows the workshops still in place and refers to a lease but fails to detail the occupants at that date. Note the swing bridge over the lock. [001] [301]
