Taff Wagon Works location
The Wagon Works to the left of the track layout diagram was the site of the Taff Wagon Works and the record states that a PSA (public sidings agreement) was entered into by the company and the GWR on 26th July 1923. A year later the agreement and/or the company name had been changed to the Principality Works. The date of the sidings taken out of use is not recorded on subsequent diagrams. So when grandfather was actually working there is unclear but he was definitely the engineer at the works for some time in the period. [008]
The Taff Wagon Engineering Works
A view of the Taff Wagon Engineering Works. I'm not exactly sure of the lineage of the company from the original Taff Wagon Works, but the location of the works and name of the company are too much of a coincidence. Is there anyone who can assist me in the history of this company please? [000] [002]
