Cogan Junction Signal Box
Cogan Junction
The original signal box at the junction of the Llandough sidings, the Penarth Dock, the Barry railway via Cogan, and the Penarth Town line built by the TVR and opened in 1889. It became a maintenance workshop and stores after the new GWR signal box with 70 levers in its frame was opened in September 1926. The new box is in the GWR livery of cream and brown and shown in the colourised photograph. The images date from 1957. [083] [084] [085] [205]
