Two c.1961 photos of jobs in progress at the works. The valve in the upper image is approx. 30" diameter and has a long actuator suggesting that it is a waterworks type sluice valve. The lower images shows a typical steelworks type trolley for conveyance of heavy and hot loads i.e. the sort of job the apprentices got lumbered with to strip and fettle! [114]
