1979 - The fine original 1865 masonry arched piers of Radyr stone upon which the coal tips were installed. This is number 7 pier taken from number 8. The Radyr stone just glows warm mauve in the sunshine and it is clear that mother nature has taken a firm hold of the dockside in this, another of the photographs from the archive of the amazing late Mary Gillham M.B.E.
