April 1987 - Construction of the Penarth Marina - A view from the dam across the lock between the basin and the main dock looking west toward the fortified entrance. The new entrance incorporates new lock gates and a swing bridge. The Custom House is to be seen to the right and the new Marina Offices are under construction at the southern entrance. The contract for the works was awarded in 1985 to Crest Nicholson.  [1292]
