September 1896 - A section of the timetable for the Cardiff and Penarth Steam Ferry Co., Limited. The Penarth Ferry Boat 'Iona'. H. J. Vellacott, Manager, 51 Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff.

Note that the fares are 3d. Cardiff and Penarth Dock. Children under 12, Half Price. Dogs, 3d. i.e. the same price to convey a dog as an adult! Also note that : 'The Company will not hold themselves responsible for the safety of any Passenger, or intending Passenger, before embarking on, or after embarking from, any of their Steamers.' I must remember to ask Mr Vellacott if that applies to dogs as well?!!
