Other photographs (with colourised versions) borrowed from the excellent book 'The Taff Vale Railway Lines to Penarth' shows the Penarth bound (nasty, smelly, diesel!) train from Treherbert after passing Cogan Junction. On the far bank of the River Ely are the remnants of the Victoria Wharf of the Ely Tidal Harbour. The photograph dating from August 1991 is credited to N. W. Sprinks. [026]
