Directly the concrete is set sufficiently, the moulds are to be removed and the front face of the block is to be rendered with one part cement and one of sand. The block will then be left until it is hard enough to handle. When required as at the north end of the wall, and where the culverts pass through wall, special blocks will have to be moulded to the exact shapes required. When thoroughly hard the blocks will be lowered into position, a layer of neat cement being spread over the surface of the bed upon which the block is to be laid. Great care must be taken to keep the face of the wall and bond of blocks uniform.
