'Passat' and 'Pamir' moored in Penarth Dock in 1950. the tide is out and that lovely mud has returned for a few hours. In the entrance to the 'drain' a dredger is working the mouth of the sea lock of the Queen Alexandra Dock. The masts of the tallships cast a long shadow to the northeast providing a clue that it is Springtime and it is late afternoon. The lower image has been colourised.
