Pamir under tow in Penarth Dock - 1951

'Pamir' under tow in Penarth Dock during March 1951 as featured within an Penarth Daily News [092] article published in September 2016. The photo taken at water level by photographer Tom Main had been discovered in a Penarth house and reunited with a gentleman with the non-de-plume 'Jonny'. Apparently his family lived at the address prior to WWII. I sincerely trust that 'Jonny' would not object to the use of the lovely piece of Penarth heritage for non-profit use on this website and maybe he would like to add some more detail about its history. [000] [002] The article was brought to my attention by my friend Philippe who has a great website dedicated to 'Pamir'. [286]
