1950 - The Finnish barque 'Passat' under tow of two tugs approaching the southern entrance pier of Penarth Dock on a misty, rainy day. The vessel sits high in the water indicating that she is unladen. She first arrived in Penarth Roads during October of the previous year (1949) fully laden with grain from Australia.
