'Pamir' and 'Passat' in Penarth Dock - 1949
A dock-rat view of the 'Pamir' with sails still furled but not yet stowed which suggests that she has just arrived at Penarth Dock. She is laden with grain and low in the water. The date of this photo is therefore early October 1949 since she arrived at Penarth from Falmouth on the 6th of that month. [000]

The 'Pamir' in all her glory with 'Passat' moored astern. The ship moored at the southern side of the dock at the right of the photo is the s.s. 'Alresford' - laid up or awaiting repair on the pontoon. The enlargements have been colourised. [000]
