A. F. D. Bannister - P.S. 'Glen Gower'
A. F. D. Bannister - P.S. 'Glen Gower' - Albert Francis Derek Bannister (1899 - 1968) was an artist famed for his paintings of sailing ships but he is also credited with paining many WWII bombers as well as warships and transatlantic liners many of which are recorded as postcards. This painting of P & A Campbell's White Funnel Fleet paddle steamer 'Glen Gower' dates from the mid 1950's and is a lovely postcard addition to the Penarth Dock Collection. [002]
