The paddle steamer 'Princess May' photographed in the Cumberland Basin, Bristol during 1902. She was sold later that year to Italian owners and was broken up in 1929.

Mr. Farr, in his book 'West Country Passenger Steamers' says of her;- 'The Princess May was an open foredeck paddler of the old pattern although built as recently as 1893 by Barclay, Curle at Whitchurch, and bought by the Brighton Company in 1896. She ran the early part of the 1902 season in the Bristol Channel, but was sent to Southampton to run trips during the naval review of 28th June 1902 (which was, in fact, cancelled as the King contracted appendicitis).'
