Taff Vale Engine No. 210 Class - Type 0-6-0 - A TVR schematic which appears to have been issued by the GWR at Swindon given that the TVR and GWR engine numbers are indicated. Another heritage artifact held within the Penarth Dock Collection. [001][20200318]
A down coal train passing through Radyr station in 1923, hauled by ex-TVR 'K' class 0-6-0 No. 1001 (TVR No. 359). As may be seen from the documentation above she was scrapped during December 1926. The engine was built at Kitsons in 1885. The photograph is assigned to the Great Western Trust and is featured with the publication 'The Taff Vale Lines to Penarth'.[026] [20200420]
A poor quality image of "Class K," No. 356 (as G.W.R. No. 978), 9th August, 1924. The photograph credit is assigned to W. Beckerlegge. The 0-6-0 locomotive was stationed at Penarth Dock Engine Shed until is demise in August 1925. Many thanks to WRRC, Welsh Railway Research Circle for the information.
