◊ The relocated boatyard at Penarth -
1860's - The entrance to the Cogan Pill on the opposite bank of the River Ely was the intended entrance to the proposed Ely Dock of
I. K. Brunel. (see also chapter on the subject of
Mr.B's 1836 Ely Docks) Above the Pill is the Cogan Pill House of the Corbett family with the Cogan Pill Farm to the right. The sheds are probably those of Cooper's relocated boat building yard. I repaired and colourised, as best I could, the lower image to show more clearly the location.
