The 'Breeze' of 17 Tons was registered at Cardiff on the 21st March 1888 with the official number 95156. The 1890 and 1900 Mercantile Navy List states that the managing owner of the vessel was Alfred Cope, 1, Lord St., Penarth.
The 1910 list states that the managing owner of the vessel was Lewis Alexander 43, Clive St., Cardiff.
The 1915 Mercantile Navy List states that the owner of the vessel was The Steam Pilot Boat Company (Cardiff & Bristol Channel), Lim., Stuart St., Cardiff and the manager was James A. Duggan, 23, Fair Oak Road, Cardiff.
The 1920 list states that the managing owner of the vessel was Daniel B. James, 10, Pentrabane St., Cardiff.
She finally appears on the Mercantile Navy List as a sailing vessel in 1930 when her managing owner was Edward A. J. Blagdon of Manor Park, London.
It would appear that in 1933 she was re-registered at Cardiff after being fitted with an engine. She was owned for a while by Ralph C. Morel of Radyr Court, Llandaff, Cardiff who remained as her managing owner as per the 1940 list. [630] [670] |
