• Dock Entrance, Cardiff - An un-defined day at a quarter-past three in the afternoon as the tide and breeze propel the vessel down channel and seaward. She is riding high in the water, so probably not a coal trader, but leaving the Bute Docks unladen but with sufficient ballast to maintain stability en route to collect her next coastal cargo. I believe this to be one of the most evocative postcard views held within the Penarth Dock Collection ; you can almost taste the salt air! The enlargement has been colourised. [001] [20200101]
