'Setubal' (Setúbal)
s.s. 'Setubal' - This single-screw, cargo vessel was built at the Bridge Dockyard, Sunderland by Thompson Robert & Sons Limited as the s.s. 'Triton' in 1910.
s.s. 'Setubal' - This single-screw, cargo vessel was built at the Bridge Dockyard, Sunderland, by Thompson Robert & Sons Limited as the s.s. 'Triton' in 1910. She was of 1,338 gross register tons being 225.0 ft. long x 35.0 ft. breath. She was launched during April 1910 and completed for handover to her German owners by June of the same year. During February 1916 she was seized by the Portuguese Government for Transportes Maritimos do Estado, Lisbon and renamed 'Setubal' (Setúbal). She was wrecked off Tol-Pedn-Penwith, Cornwall on passage from Penarth for Lorient with a cargo of coal. [843] [062]

The 'Setúbal' steamship wrecked on March 5, 1917, due to stranding, near the port of Penzance, with no casualties recorded. The crew of the steamship 'Setúbal,' which was shipwrecked near Cardiff, will be repatriated. - O Comércio do Porto [842] 8th March 1917.
