Four Coal Tips - Penarth Dock Basin.
• Four Coal Tips - Penarth Dock Basin. An identical photograph to that above me thinks, except for the white area in lieu of red lead just above the water-line! This image appeared in 'The Windsor Magazine' [478] and a book 'The Ways of our Railways' [479] in 1906 and shows the four tips 15, 16, 17 & 18 (numbered from right to left) which were manufactured by Messrs. Fielding and Platt of Gloucester and installed in the years 1899 - 1900. They were specified to process 25 ton wagons.
