1966 - Llandough sidings looking toward the former entrance to Penarth Dock, Penarth Dock Station and right, to Cogan Station and all stations to Barry Island. The photograph is dated May 1966.
Then newly-installed BS113A trailing points installed as part of the closure of Llandough sidings. The old Taff Vale Railway signal box is on the left in the distance and the then in-use Cogan Junction signal box lies to the right. The Cogan-Grangetown road viaduct now spans the scene near the signal boxes and for this installation the left embankment was levelled. The 3-doll down homes bracket signal on the right, had already lost its 3ft arm on the low doll, as Cogan Sidings down goods loop had been taken out of use on 9th July 1965.
