Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage & legacy . . .

Volume Eleven - Pre-Victorian to the Present Day - some more aspects - All Change at Cogan Junction and Llandough Sidings . . .

1966 - Llandough Sidings facing Llandough signal-box and onto Grangetown. Left is the Penarth Road and right, the sidings, now almost clear of rolling stock; progressively broken-up courtesy of Dai Woodham at Barry. This photograph is dated May 1966.

Then newly-installed BS113A trap point assembly and new colour-light bracket signal installed as part of the new work associated with taking out of use Llandough sidings and abolition of up main line via River Ely bowstring bridge. Llandough Sidings signal box can be seen in the distance between wagons to the left of the former yard control building. [922] [923] [924] [image reference : bpm00430]
