c.1905 - The burnt-out shell of the Arcot-street, Wesleyan Methodist Chapel.

c.1905 - The blackened and burnt-out shell of the Arcot-street, Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Penarth, borrowed from David Ings fine heritage volume 'Penarth in old picture postcards'. [300]

The shell of the Chapel was later modified and became the Anglican St. Paul's Church following a donation from Lord Windsor. The cost of rebuilding was £1,700 in c.1906. (equivalent to £144k in 2021)
