4th December 1946 - Image 3075 - The meandering River Ely leads to the Victoria Wharf, then the four remaining coal tips of the Ely Tidal Harbour and the former Iron Ore Wharf, now used for petroleum products on the northern side.
4th December 1946 - Image 3075 - The meandering River Ely leads to the Victoria Wharf [F], then the four remaining coal tips [A] of the Ely Tidal Harbour and the former Iron Ore Wharf [B], now used for petroleum products on the northern side. At the head of the Penarth Dock is the works of the Penarth Pontoon and Slipway Company with a vessel under repair on the pontoon [C]. The railway junction [D] with the Penarth Dock Station and west, the Cogan Station and the line proceeds [E] to Cogan Tunnel and onto Dinas Powis with Barry beyond.
