The following text is taken from Appendix A - Details of Illustrations:

This figure is based on Plate 15, figure 8 from 'Docks and Harbours'. Again the original illustration was at a scale of 1:400 and it has been reproduced to a scale of 1:100 to allow comparison with figures 9 and 10. The reason for showing the wall as a cross-section is that the original illustration was a section of Plate 15, figure 7.

One interesting point is that the heights for H.W.O.S.T. and H.W.O.N.T. are lower than those of the main dock walls. Since there were derived from the original drawing rather than explicitly stated these may be due to inaccuracy in the illustrations from the book.
