Rounding Rillage Point, we open up Hillsborough, a rocky eminence of 450 feet, sheltering Ilfracombe, with its pier and harbour, which at this point presents a most picturesque appearance to the passengers on board the steamer. At the base of Hillsborough is the hamlet of Hele, and close by is Bligh's Cove, a secluded bathing place. |
