Another fine view of the excavation works for the extension of the dock under way. At least three steam-navvies belonging to Mr. Thomas A. Walker, contractor, nibble away at the removal of the layers of marl as normal coal loading continues within the existing but crowded dock. The enlargement below has been colourised.
