I'm aware from a report in the Penarth Times that items (i) and (ii) were performed as per the image and report on the left shows but I'm not sure if the remaining items were ever acted upon.

'I used to ride my bicycle to the docks in the late 1950's and early 1960's to spot ships. The pontoon and engineering company was interesting. Then I'd go and ride my bike through the subway under the river and along Ferry Road. The subway was made of cast iron rings bolted together with unguarded light bulbs every few yards or so. My head used to just clear the bulbs and on some occasions the vandals had been in and taken out the bulbs and smashed them. So then it was dark and scary and you were expecting a puncture in your tyres at any minute.
