At section No.4(a) - Subscriptions to Other Companies, the Penarth Pontoon, Slipway and Ship Repairing Company, Ltd. were listed as a 'security or investment' in the form of a 'Mortgage Debenture' to the sum of £39,500. In section No.5 - Details of Capital Expenditure for Year Ended 31st December, 1921, a credit of £500-0s.-0d. was entered as a 'Mortgage Debenture, Redeemed by Penarth Pontoon, Slipway and Ship Repairing Company, Ltd. In the same section there is an entry under 'Hotels - Redemption of Capital - Penarth Hotel' being a credit in the sum of £215-5s.-0d. |
