Volume Six - Pre-Victorian to the Present Day - Select Aspects - The end of the line for the Taff Vale Railway - 1921

The following sections of the financial accounts dealt with the appropriation of the net income of £454,653-12s.-6d. and the interim dividends paid. Sections Nos. 10 to 17 inclusive and Abstracts A to J inclusive were omitted under Authority of the Ministry of Transport. The general balance sheet showed a healthy financial situation for the handover of the TVR Company to the GWR.

Penarth Dock - some of the local facilities of the TVR handed over to the GWR during the regrouping arrangements commencing 1st January 1922.

Section 1 - Mileage of Lines - (A.) Mileage of Lines Open for Traffic.

In the table below, I have not included the statistics for lines owned by the Company and those lines under joint ownership, however, the Grand Totals include these values. The units are miles and chains.
