Volume Eight - Pre-Victorian to the present day - more aspects - Cardiff, Penarth and Environs - [vintage photo and postcard album] . . .

This chapter continues the theme as previously setout within chapter five of this volume. I received a number of complimentary comments, not only from Penarthians, but from around the world, regarding the album content and their memories, hence, I decided to add more from the Penarth Dock Collection of postcards and books, but with a slightly wider scope to include Cardiff and Environs! The images help to portray the extent of wealth that coal brought to the ports of South Wales.

	Penarth - We commence with a few old views of the centre of Penarth including Windsor Road.
	Cardiff - The entrance to the Bute Docks at Cardiff before and after the pierhead offices of the Bute Dock Company were built.
	Barry - A lovely view of the number one dock and the shipping office.
