s.s. 'Arethusa' - Report of Survey for Repairs, &c. for Arethusa - 16th June 1880. This vessel was built at the yard of Palmer's Shipbuilding & Iron Company Limited on the Tyne at Newcastle during 1875. She was of 1,841 Gross Register Tonnage and her Port of Registration was London.

The vessel was placed upon the Gridiron on account of a grounding. The keel bottom and rubber were found to be in good condition but the paint on the bottom was lightly damaged. She had her bottom cleaned and coated with paint. The surveyor was Mr. A. E. Keydell.
