1888 - The aftermath of the fire ; an advertisement for the sale of 60,000 Bushels (more or less) of White Oats recovered from the recent fire at the Victoria Wharf, Ely Harbour, Cardiff.
   
1888 - Ships at the Ely Tidal Harbour iron ore wharf which within a few years was destined to become an oil importation wharf as photographed by Margaret R. Collings of 47 Bute street, Cardiff.
   
1890 - The first cargoes of bulk oil imported from Russia and Philadelphia during July and August 1890 were landed at the former iron ore wharf.
