This is a contribution from Mr. Richard Weeks M.B.E. of images and a history the Penarth Dock Engineering Company from its inception as the Penarth Shipbuilding and Ship Repairing Co. Ltd. on the 30th May 1878.

In support Richard kindly supplied a number of images of the works from the early 1960's and a few images of the dock and pontoon which were probably from the late 1950's. They provide a real insight into daily life at the works just prior to the start of my apprenticeship there.
